Find Out About Digital Publishing at Magazine Week!

18 October 2011

The international and local publishing, advertising and marketing industry will converge on Sydney in November for the inaugural Magazine Week, presented by Publishers Australia and The Magazine Publishers of Australia. With a week long program of events, which culminates in the annual Publishers Australia Excellence Awards, topics will include how to exploit social media, how to grow subscriptions revenue and the opportunities presented by new platforms such as the iPad and smartphones.

Magazine Week will be running a number of workshops on digital publishing. Thousands of printed magazines end up in landfill sites each year and Digital publishing is a much better alternative. Digital Magazines offer the same content as print magazines but cause significantly less damage to the environment, as they require no paper, no ink and no transportation.

Digital publishing offers some great benefits including the ability to track and report on a magazines success by measuring links, subscription numbers and not to mention the wider geographical reach.

The Digital Publishing Workshop has been designed to equip magazine publishing executives with the knowledge, insight and skills to develop lucrative and successful digital publishing models. The workshop focuses on the strategies used by the most successful and entrepreneurial magazine website publishers.

Magazine Week is an exciting new event on the media calendar that will see the best minds in our industry gather to share insights, talk trends and delve into real-life case studies." said Geoff Hird, Publishers Australia Chairman.

The inaugural Magazine Week will be held at Darling Harbor, Sydney, from November 7-11. To learn more about Magazine Week and to register please click here.
